Mother's Day

The thing about all the hype of this day that no one ever seems to realize is how much it hurts those who wanted to have a child, but for whatever reason, didn’t.

I'm sorry you find this holiday difficult. My best friend also did not have children. But she's been a wonderful "mother" to several children who either had no mother--or a neglectful mother--and her love and attention has made all the difference. Biology isn't the only way.

I hope you had a peaceful day, anyway.

My adopted kids have great mothers. I'm merely a friend.

Hugs to you, Barb. You 'mother' lots of kids, you know. Kids can't get enough love and support.

I wish you could have had the opportunity to make the choice for yourself.

You are a wonderful mother to
1. your boys
2. your adopted kids who do not think of you just as a friend - you are their mother who is easier to confide in than the original.

These original moms also treasure you for what you bring to our children and to us. We love you barb!

Oh, Riley, that's such a wonderful thing to say.

Sometimes it's those with the most love to give, who for whatever reason, aren't able to give it to children of their own. Barb, we just find different ways to share part of ourselves. You give your love, unconditional friendship, and support, and I'm sure youre adopted kids appreciate you more than you know!
Hugs
