Sigh

I stood in front of my cd collection this morning and attempted to figure out what I wanted to listen to all day. I gathered up a nice variety, tossed it in my bag and off I went.

The problem was that once I did what I do and settled in at my desk the choices I brought weren’t right. I spent a vey frustrating day, listening to the wrong things. No, I couldn’t just flip on the radio. We only get two stations, both of which repeat songs constantly and I’ve been sick of all of them for weeks. Thus the cd’s.

Now I can’t really say what it is that I would have preferred. No idea actually. It just wasn’t any of what I had with me.

And then on the way home I decided to swing through the 3 Minute Car Wash to get Howie a bath. The last time I had a car I cared enough about to wash the salt off of it cost $3.00. Today it was $10.38. Damn, I’m old.

So. That was my day. How was yours?

Since I slept hardly a wink last night, I was fuzzy headed all day. I was a worthless damn slug. Only 2 1/2 pgs on my WIP.

Okay. The cd thing sounds like when you go to the fridge and stand there for 20 min. trying to figure out what the hell you're doing there.

Or you go back to the cabinet one hundred times, staring into it like what you are looking for, though you don't know what it is, might materialize...lol

Yeah, Howie had a bath! He's so worth it.

I'm around your age and I'm not old do I can't see how you are...

I don't do the music thing at work as it interferes with my writing...uh, I mean my work...that's right...I'm there to work...I keep forgetting that and start writing sex

I've come to the conclusion I need an iPod or an MP3...I have several CD's I bought just because of a song or two I liked.

Yep. That's very frustrating. Our local station (country) plays songs from waaaaay back... over and over and over.

I usually just don't listen to anything.

I spend four hours a day driving and I *hate* it when I realized I grabbed the wrong music.

Today I spent at the hospital hanging out with my Dad. He had some major surgery two days ago. :( So lots of hanging with the Dad-man.
