So Disappointing

My favorite fur-lined boots are about done for. One of the soles is separating from the bottom of the shoe part. I’m going to try to glue it back on but I have serious doubts that it’ll work, long-term.

How sad is it that these boots have only lasted as long as they have. Only 30 years. I got them right after I got my first job, working at Woolworth’s. They were from Thom McCann’s, the shoe store across the hall in the Berkshire Mall. Well, the mall's still there but both Woolworth's and Thom McCann's have had it. Just like my boots.

Sigh. Things just aren’t made to last, are they?

What's a girl to do without her fuzzy lined boots? I certainly have mine, though they were a cheap pair I picked up, but so warm. I warm them to all to all of my son's hockey games his last few years playing. I noticed the other day that like my son no longer playing hockey, my furry lined boots are no longer protecting my feet from the snow. They are leaking a bit from the underside. I take them off and have a wet heel...change sucks.

Gorilla Glue is good too. Do you have a shoe repair place in town? You might want to run them in and see if they can fix them.

There is a very good cobbler whose shop I pass nearly every day. The only thing it I'm sure it would cost more than I paid originally to get them repaired.

I would take them back and demand a refund - see what they say - you may confuse them enough that they may just do it
