Quick Reminder

Only three weeks left to register for this year's election. And once you're registered, get your butt out there and vote. If you don't, you aren't permitted to complain or even discuss the state of the country in my house. You get kicked out if you try. So do it! Seriously, it really is a very important privilege that our ancestors fought hard and died for to give us.

Why would you throw that away?

In just about every state, early voting is available too. Don't have to wait until Nov. 2. My neighborhood grocery store is set up for it at least a month in advance and it's soooo easy. In Texas, all we have to do is show our driver lic. and BAM. Easy easy.

Confused about the issues? No need to be. The issues on both sides are being discussed everywhere so there's no excuse in being a "low information voter". Read about things on line or watch the stuff on tv. Or ask informed friends.

When I was involved in scouting we had a saying... he who complains, gets to be in charge next time. Too bad we can't do politics that way.
