Why? Because this sweet-faced Mouse decided he needed to eat every few hours last night. And he did because he has health issuses that prevent him from absorbing most nutrients. So we got up not once but twice. Which has me very tired now especially since, unlike Mouse, I had to go to work and be alert and functional all day. That's okay, I'd rather lose sleep than lose Mouse. Besides he tried to make up for it by purring up a storm when we went back to bed at 1:37 and again at 4:14. At least I could get right back to sleep with him doing that. Still it wasn't a very restful night. Hopefully this isn't the beginning of a new pattern or I'll make even less sense than I am now. Sleep well everyone. Oops, gotta go. Mouse is back, meowing for all he's worth. He hasn't eaten since I got home two hours ago and he's starved. Just ask him!

You're such a good mommy to Mouse! Lucky at least lets me sleep until 5 or so! And right now, if she can't get me up, she trots to the other side of the bed and wakes up D!
Cats...strange creatures...just explain to him/her it's not happening again tonight. Surely that would work?
Explain something to a cat? Now that's funny! It would be a thousand times less effective than attempting to explain to Mervina why she can't stomp around under your house all night, AJ.
Cute Mouse. Love the name.
I hope he is doing ok. And you too.
When I was sick last week Tazz, Jake and Wolf the Chihuahua spent the whole week sleeping in front of my bedroom door and whining for all they were worth around the rest of the house.
Animals are funny.
